ND Dems Asking Rick Berg to Refund Thousands of Dollars to ND Dept. of Veterans

Bookmark and Share

The North Dakota Democratic party is asking Congressman Rick Berg to refund several thousand dollars to the state department of veterans.

The Party says Berg's Campaign volunteer/treasurer Kelly Zander is a commercial real estate agent who worked for Goldmark Schlossman Commercial Real Estate Services.

Berg was founder of the company.

The party claims Zander overcharged the state of Department of Veterans nearly seven thousand dollars last year in rent and refused to return the money.

Dem-NPL Spokeswoman Rania Batrice says, "We've obtained some e-mails that show under Rick Bergs watch a commercial realtor that is closely involved in his campaign lead the charge to overbill the state department of veteran affairs and refused to give the money back."

Berg's Communication Director say Heidi Heitkamp is now completely making things up, grasping at straws in a desperate attempt to distract from her record of supporting President Obama and his failed policies.
