After a year in Kosovo, fifty-five members of the North Dakota Army National Guard returned home this morning.
Family and friends waited outside the Petro Serve in south Fargo to give a warm welcome to loved ones from the 112th Aviation Regiment.
Staff Sergeant Timothy Bailey, of Grand Forks, was greeted by his wife and children, including his three month old daughter Lucy, who he held for the first time today.
Bailey says, "Words cant explain, it's amazing, I've been able to skype with her for the last couple months but this is my first time seeing her in person"
Timothy's wife Joy says, "I've had awesome family support, it would've been a whole different story; if I didn't have family around to help out but we're definitely ready to be together as a family"
The unit was deployed last September as part of a peace keeping mission, providing aviation support in Kosovo.
